St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church

The congregation of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in San Jose is close to realizing a dream that began with a long-term expansion and renovation plan in 2000. This latest project, a multi-purpose Community Hall, represents Phase 3 of the plan that has included remodeling of existing structures and new buildings on the Church property at 1260 Davis St. in San Jose. The new, 10,000 sq ft Community Hall also serves as a gymnasium and includes a full service kitchen and a large basement for storage.

Biggs-Cardosa Engineers and Steinberg Architects are working with TBI on this Design-Build project. Special design considerations went into the plan to accommodate a need for the structure to blend in with the adjacent residential architecture. Something of a good neighbor policy, if you will.

The new structure is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2006. Design-Build projects are another specialty at TBI as we've used this process when we've built for our own account.
